Roman // Bast Family Newborn Session

If anyone knows about rushing and having a hectic life I think it’s me. I’ve moved every year for the past 5 years and it’s EXHAUSTING. Words can’t really describe how horrible moving can be. On my last move I simply couldn’t do it anymore and just broke down from the stress.

Well this new little family moved right before Roman was born. He was also a really big baby so God bless her for going through all that. I cannot imagine being 9 months pregnant and moving. It truly is a testament to what women can do. They were able to get an adorable house in portage and everything lined up quickly so they had to make it happen. Now that it’s all said and done, I’m sure it’s great to have a nice big home for Roman to grow up in.

Since they just moved, I used some of the empty rooms and just lots of light which I am really happy with. Roman was such a trooper and so cute. For being under a week old I am amazed at how alert he was and how many expressions he had. Perhaps big babies are smarter? (I was nearly 10 pounds myself, hahaa)

I had a great time getting to know this family and am so happy to be able to give them great photos of Roman while he at least this tiny :) We only had ONE projectile vomit at the end of the shoot even. I would call that success. :)

Look at all that hair! She said they could see it in the ultra sound I guess. Thats nuts!
Those toes! I love them!
Is he really giving me blue steel? Sure looks like it to me!

Mandi - I LOVE them – especially the one of dad alone, sitting in the empty room (B/W) and the close ups of his face and toes. So precious!
